PostGIS installation in PostgreSQL database

I would like to know if PostGIS is something that I can install myself in my PostgreSQL databases or is it something the InMotion support would need to handle? This is an extension that enables Geographic Information to be stored in a PostgreSQL database.

Hello Thomas SJ, Thanks for the question about installing PostGIS for your PostgreSQL databases. The software is not on the server already, and you are not on a VPS or Dedicated server plan (where you can acquire root access), therefore you will need to submit a verified support ticket to our live technical support team. They will need to determine if it's possible to install on your account server. In some cases, these type of installations may require an additional fee, if they can install it. They will let you know if they are able or unable to install it. Installing something of this nature would be better suited for VPS/Dedicated server accounts.
